Congrats, again! I think you and I would list the same #1 post: “At the Dawn of the Fourth Turning,” though I’ve enjoyed so many of your posts.
Speaking of the fourth turning, I don’t know if you saw the headline on the front page of the Washington Post earlier this week: “Major Cities’ Plummeting Crime Rates Mystifying.” Of course, crime rates drop in a fourth turning (The Fourth Turning, page 104), so Strauss & Howe enthusiasts wouldn’t have been mystified. It’s another sign of a fourth turning in a period that feels to me like a transition period between a third and fourth turning.
Health care overhaul feels like a mini-fulcrum of what time it is. Nothing so grand gets done during a third turning, while in a fourth turning, as S&H put it, “government governs” Id. [emphasis original].
